The members of the Albéniz Trio come from entirely different backgrounds and form a very diverse group. Javier was born in Venezuela and enjoys Dutch nationality, while Paula is from Spain of Costa Rican descent. Luis is from Madrid. This diversity has enabled them to bring to life different repertoires of various styles. For instance, Javier has recently recorded an album with works by South American composers Alberto Ginastera and Heitor Villa-Lobos. The album has been a huge success. This success has led the Albéniz Trio to sign with the IBS Classical 2 record label to record a second album of chamber music and with an exotic repertoire.
