JAVIER RAMEIX, PIANO

(Venezuela, 1991) He began his studies at the Aragua State Music Conservatory with Maestro Arnaldo Pizzolante at the age of five. At the age of seventeen, he pursued his musical education in the Netherlands (Utrecht University of the Arts), where he earned the diplomas of “Bachelor” and “Master of Music” with honours and under the tutelage of professors Alan Weiss and Sebastian Colombo. Later, he received a scholarship for the postgraduate program of the
“Reina Sofía Music School” in Madrid for three consecutive years, with professor Galina Eguiazarova
and the “International Chamber Music Institute” of the same school, with professor Marta Gulyás.


He participated in various chamber music ensembles and attended master classes with artists such as Colom, Wagner, Bashkirov, Schellenberger, Thunemann, and Vlatkovic. Thanks to
14 the Centre for Piano Studies - CEP, he received advice from artists: Volodos, Goerner, Nebolsin, Canino, Martínez-Mehner, Douglas, Zabaleta, and De Maria. 

He has received the first prize in the Silvia Eisenstein Competition (Venezuela) and the “Spring Competition” (University of Barcelona). Alongside baritone Michael Wilmering he received the award of the IVC and the press award at the international competition “Lied Duo” in Den Bosch. Queen Sofía of Spain has distinguished him as the most outstanding student of hir class at the “Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía” in the categories of piano and chamber music.


Javier began playing as a soloist at age twelve with the Aragua Symphony Orchestra, and Maestro José Abreu summoned him to perform with the Teresa Carreño Orchestra in Caracas. He performs as a soloist in Europe and South America with different orchestras and offers countless concerts held in the most important halls of Holland, Spain, France, Belgium, and Germany. In 2013 he was invited to play for the Dutch royal family. 


He regularly collaborates with different high-level musicians: Aldo Baerten, Alan Weiss, and Zóltan Mácsai. He has performed as a soloist at the National Auditorium in Madrid alongside the Verum Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Ecuador under the baton of Maestro Yury Sobolev. Javier recently debuted at the prestigious “Muziekgebouw” hall in Amsterdam, where the audience and critics acclaimed him. 


Since 2020 Javier has been part of the IBS Classical discography with his album “IMPRESSÕES,” which received the “Melómano de Oro” award. It is also critically acclaimed: “Rameix’s interpretive quality makes whoever listens to this recording receive the best impressions. As I said, brilliant!” (Scherzo magazine).
